Gazprom, Iran to launch LNG schemes


(MENAFN) Gazprom is eying Iran's rich resources to particularly study new projects in the nation's gas industry, plus cooperate on LNG and mini-LNG production plans.

In accordance, given the diversity in the gas segment, a total of six joint working groups have been set up by both the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) and the Moscow-based gas giant.

Experts of both firms will attend meetings of working groups during the visit by a Russian delegation to Tehran to launch new talks on investment, gas business development as well as technology transfer.

Furthermore, Gazprom carries on the business of extraction, production, transport, and sale of natural gas, and it has subsidiaries in industrial sectors including finance, media and aviation.
