Qatar- Palestinian heritage on show

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Artistes perform at the second Palestinian Heritage Festival which runs until Saturday at Katara Building 3.

DOHA: The second Palestinian Heritage Festival titled “Our History Our Heritage... Steadfastness” opened at Katara Building 3 on Sunday.

The Palestinian mega cultural event which runs until Saturday has been organised by the Cultural Village Foundation — Katara in cooperation with the Palestinian National Friendship Association in

Qatar.

The Festival depicts charming images of the rich and colourful Palestinian heritage through traditional clothes food and arts while offering the opportunity to the public to better understand and appreciate the social and historical background of the Palestinian customs and heritage which varies from one region to another.

“Hosting the second edition of the Palestinian Heritage Festival is driven by the outstanding success and popularity gained by the festival’s 1st edition which was previously held at the Cultural Village Foundation — Katara” said Al Sayed.

For his part Ambassador Ghannam expressed gratitude for all the efforts made by Katara to organise the festival.

“This Palestinian Heritage Festival is a true demonstration of the deep brotherhood and friendship between the nations of Qatar and Palestine and a remarkable approach to further bringing together our rich cultures in this stunning venue of Katara” added the Ambassador.

Katara’s Deputy General Manager of Operations Ahmad Al Sayed and Palestinian Ambassador Munir Ghannam were present at the opening ceremony.
