Oman- Husband of murdered Indian nurse still under detention in Salalah

The husband of Chikku Roberts the Indian nurse murdered in Salalah is still under detention as part of investigation.

There are no charges against Linson Thomas. Chikku was found dead with multiple stab wounds on April 20 at around 10.30pm shortly after her reporting time for duty at Badr al Samaa hospital.

A team from the Indian Embassy in Muscat is expected to meet high-ranking ROP officials in Dhofar in connection with the probe and detention. 'Officials from the Indian Embassy in Muscat have sought an appointment with senior officials of Dhofar police to discuss the investigation' a source in Salalah told Muscat Daily.

'Linson Thomas is still in police custody. Police has not pressed charges' said Manpreet Singh Indian Embassy's counsellor in Salalah. The nurse was pregnant when she was killed in her apartment. Her ears had also been cut by the killer. The police has also quizzed her colleagues sources said.

The nurse was supposed to report for the 10pm shift that night. When she did not turn up till 10.30pm her husband also a hospital employee went to check at their apartment and found her lying dead in a pool of blood. The suspects are said to have escaped using the balcony. She was cremated in her hometown in the southern Indian state of Kerala.
