Oman- Over 46 companies take part in first Thai Trade Exhibition

More than 46 companies are participating in the first Thai Trade Exhibition that began at the Oman International Exhibition Centre (OIEC) on Monday.

Inaugurated by H E Mohammed bin Yousef al Zarafi Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the exhibition has on offer a variety of premium products and services from Thailand.

Nattasuda Mettaprasert charge d'affaires Thai Embassy in Muscat said 'This is the first Thai exhibition in Oman and we are hopeful that it will be a huge success. Through this exhibition we will be showcasing our culture and products. We have ensured that the prices of products are quite reasonable.'

Hussain bin Ramadhan bin Sulaiman deputy general manager of OIEC said that the exhibition will continue till May 13. Some Thai hospitals and healthcare service providers are also taking part in the exhibition. They are providing free consultation and check-ups to visitors.

Some of the Thai products and services that are being displayed at the exhibition include cosmetics apparel footwear perfumes wood products salons tourism packages and taxi services. The exhibition which will hold a daily raffle draw will also give winners a ticket to Thailand.

The event is being organised by OIEC in cooperation with Vega Intertrade and Exhibitions Thai Embassy in Muscat and Office of the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion.
