Oman's Minister of Education Meets Qatar's UNESCO Candidate

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Muscat May 09 (QNA) - The Minister of Education in the Sultanate of Oman Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser Al-Shaibaniya met here Monday with HE Advisor at the Emiri Diwan and the State of Qatar's candidate to the Post of the Director-General of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari.
The Omani Minister welcomed the nomination of the State of Qatar of Dr. Al Kuwari for the post of UNESCO Director-General stressing her country's support for this nomination.
The meeting came in the framework of a visit by HE Dr. Al Kuwari to the Sultanate of Oman within his election campaign during which he is visiting a number of Arab and foreign countries to explain his election program.
During his visit to the Sultanate of Oman HE Dr. Al Kuwari earlier met with HH the Minister of Heritage and Culture of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Haitham bin Tarik Al Said and the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousef bin Alawi. During the meeting welcomed the nomination of the State of Qatar was pleased to Dr. Al Kuwari director-general for "UNESCO" .. confirmed her country's support for the Qatari candidate.
This meeting comes within the framework of a visit by His Excellency Dr. Al Kuwari to the Sultanate of Oman within his election campaign in which to visit a number of Arab and foreign countries to explain his platform.
Dr. Al Kuwari had met during his current visit to the Sultanate of Oman both His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said Minister of Heritage and Culture HE Mr. Yousef bin Alawi minister responsible for foreign affairs.
