Norway, Iran seal crucial agreement on oil trade

(MENAFN) Iran's Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and Norway's International Aker Solutions Company inked a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand collaboration in the oil industry.

Basically, Iran will cooperate with the European nation to modernize and develop new technology in the Islamic Republic's oil industry, not to mention the transfer of advanced technology.

In February, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for American and European Affairs stated Iran and Norway were opening a new chapter in ties, particularly in the transfer of modern technology.

"Norway has excellent capacities in shipping, oil, gas, nuclear safety, environment, renewable energies, and finance, thus Iranian public and private sectors are very excited to strike vital deals," the Deputy added.
