(MENAFN) Emirates confirmed a USD 1bn deal with Investec aviation arm to finance four A380 jets through a sale-and-leaseback arrangement.
Furthermore, Investec will pay a total of USD 1bn to purchase four double-decker aircraft operated by Emirates.
Accordingly, Investec aircraft plans to own the A380s for 12 years before selling them on the secondary market.
In addition, interest in aircraft trades amid banks increased as yields from more traditional assets suffers to recover to post-recession levels.
