Turkey- Soldier dies after fall from rocks
(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) >A captain who fell from a rocky area on a mountain while taking part in land search efforts in the southern province of Hatay on May 9 has died.
Gendarmerie Captain Rza Frat 31 was heavily wounded when he fell from the rocks in the Nur Mountains and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Frat was involved in operations against the outlawedKurdistan Workers’ Party(PKK) and was a part of the Turkish Special Forces Command known as the Maroon Berets Doan News Agency reported.
His funeral will be held in the southeastern province of Adyaman.
