Turkey records slight rise in exports over April


(MENAFN) Turkey's exports grew by 2.6 percent throughout the prior month to USD11.5 billion as opposed to the same month of the last year, based on recent reports.

Based on the Exporters' Assembly of Turkey's data, the biggest amount of exports was made to Germany, Britain, Iraq, Italy and the United States over the mentioned month.

The automotive segment was the top exporter, with more than USD2bn in exports, followed by the ready-made wear and confection sector and the chemicals sector.

However, the nation's exports deteriorated by 9.8 percent to USD33.4 billion through the first four months of the year compared to the corresponding period of 2015.
