Bahrain condemns Helwan terror attack

MANAMA 8th May 2016 (WAM) -- Bahrain's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack which targeted police from Helwan police station Egypt killing a police officer and seven conscripts.

The Bahrain News Agency BNA quoted a statement of the Foreign Ministry as stressing Bahrain's solidarity with Egypt and full support for all deterrent measures it takes to maintain the security and safety of its citizens against terrorist acts aimed at destabilising the country and hindering development efforts led by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in various fields.

The Ministry reiterated Bahrain's rejection of all forms of terrorism affirming the need to work together with the international community to defeat terrorism. It extended its sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
