(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Khartoum May 07 (QNA) - Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Mahmud arrived in Khartoum Saturday. He was welcomed at the airport by the Chairman of Darfur Regional Authority Dr . Tegani Sesi and the Chairman of Darfur Peace Office Dr . Amin Hassan Omer as well as HE Qatar's Ambassador to Sudan Rashid bin Abdulrahman Abdulla Al Nuaimi and the Qatari embassy's staff.
HE Al Mahmoud will chair the 11th meeting of the Committee Assigned to Follow up implementation of Doha Peace Document which is hosted by Khartoum on Monday .
HE Al-Mahmud in press statements affirmed Qatar keenness to continue efforts to realize peace in Darfur stressing that Doha Document will continue.
He welcomed those who want to join the document as it considered the basis for achieving peace in Darfur.
He pointed out that the meeting will review the developments of peace process in Darfur congratulating the Sudanese people on the results of the recent Administrative Referendum in Darfur.(QNA) .
