Qatar- Tunisian President Meets US Congressmen Delegation

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tunis May 07 (QNA) - Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met on Friday evening with a delegation of US congressmen led by Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee Michael McCool.
The Tunisian placed emphasis in the solidity of the relations binding the two countries underlining the importance of supporting the democratic transition in Tunisia in light of the security and economic challenges faced in an unstable regional context Tunisian news agency (TAP) reported.
For his part McCool said that this visit comes to reaffirm the US support to Tunisia to achieve success of its democratic process.
He underlined his country’s commitment to help Tunisia meet the economic challenges and fight against terrorism. (QNA)
