Qatar- Deputy PM hails progress in the field of Education


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud along with Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi and other officials tour one of the stalls at the exhibition.

Doha: Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud yesterday inaugurated the Education Conference 2016.

The two-day conference is organised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at Qatar National Convention Centre under the theme ‘Learning Leadership: Contemporary Visions’.

Al Mahmoud also opened a ‘Professional Teaching’ exhibition which offers educational solutions for teachers in the leadership of learning and education processes in accordance with modern teaching trends.

Al Mahmoudaccompanied by Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi toured pavilion and was briefed on exhibits including teaching aids technological solutions programmes and activities provided to various age groups of students. He said this is an important conference as it provides an opportunity to exchange scientific expertise and experiences in the field of education.

He said through the conference’s workshops papers and discussion panels participants will reach the best means to utilise these experiences and develop them.

Al Mahmoud praised the great progress Qatar has achieved in the field of education under the wise leadership of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and cited the Emir’s speeches on the importance of improving education in the country. He said Qatar National Vision 2030 is clear in its objectives in terms of the development of education human wealth and knowledge through which society can bring about the desired progress and goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. Al Mahmoud reiterated that the leadership led by the Emir attaches great importance to education and stressed the need to work on the development of society as stated in Qatar National Vision 2030.
