UAE Finland discuss medical cooperation

ABU DHABI 7th May 2016 (WAM) -- Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHP) has discussed with the Finnish Ambassador to the UAE Rita Swan ways to enhance joint cooperation in the medical field and exchange expertise in the fields of medical practices and medical education between the two countries.

The discussions held at the ministry in Abu Dhabi were attended by Dr. Essa Ahmed Al Mansouri Manager of the Undersecretary's Office and Director of International Health Relations.

Al Olama emphasised that the ministry is working continuously to stay abreast of the most prestigious global experience and expertise to develop health care services in accordance with best quality standards.

The two sides also tackled ways to attract visitor doctors and to benefit from their medical expertise as well as to train doctors in the country in the latest technologies in various fields especially in the medical mobile surgical treatment services neurosurgery spine joint replacement physiotherapy and rehabilitation domains.

On her part Swan expressed her admiration for the health services in the UAE through distinguished administration and ambitious vision. She also pointed out that the two countries are continuously developing and strengthening mutual ties and pursuing joint interests in the medical field.
