(MENAFN) Sales of S. Korean cosmetics increased fast in almost one year in March on the back of the brisk sales of free stores, despite economic slowdown.
Moreover, sales of cosmetics reached USD 1.49bn in March, up 12.9 percent from a year ago.
The increase in sales was attributed to the surge in Chinese travelers to the nation, helped by the mega-hit KBS drama "Descendants of the Sun."
On the other hand, the growth was the highest since last year and surpassed the whole retail industry's 4.7 percent rise in the same period.
