(MENAFNEditorial)

April is a month that is historically known for tornado activity.  Across the United States a number of storms and tornadoes caused damage across Texas and Oklahoma.  In a rare occurrence of events an F3 tornado struck the city of Dolores Uruguay.  This tornado alone destroyed more than 400 homes and buildings killing 5 and injuring more than 250.  While rare in other parts of the world the United States typically experiences the most damage destruction and death when it comes to Tornadoes.

This year is off to a significantly slower Tornado season than 2015.  In April of 2015 The United States experienced approximately 200 tornadoes with 169 of those being confirmed.  Rare tornado occurrences outside of the United States were also more frequent in 2015 as India was hit on April 2nd displacing a number of families.  On April 6th 3 people were killed and 5 others injured when a tornado struck two villages within Phakant Myanmar.  On April 20th a F2 tornado struck in Santa Catarina Brazil during the afternoon.  The tornado killed 2 people injured 120 and damaged over 500 homes in the storm.  Brazilian weather experts say it was one of the largest tornadoes ever recorded in Brazil.  April 26th an extremely rare tornado occurrence hit the north western parts of Pakistan.  This rare event killed at least 45 and injured over 200.
