Cambodia expects GDP to stay solid over next 2y

(MENAFN) Cambodia's economy is forecasted to stay solid throughout the coming two years, on the back of garment and footwear manufacturing, construction, and service.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) projected that the nation's GDP will hit 7pct for the current year, the same rate attained in 2015, before marginally up to 7.1pct in 2017.

Moreover, ADB's data also show that growth in industry is projected at 9.5pct, the service sector to expand by 7.8pct and agriculture is estimated to develop by 1.6 percent.

"With continued expansion in industry and services, Cambodia is expected to exhibit robust economic growth over the next two years," said ADB country director for Cambodia.
