UAE envoy meets governor of West Australia CANBERRA 5th May 2016 (WAM) - The UAE Ambassador to Australia Dr. Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi met here today with the Governor of West Australia Kerry Sanderson.

During their meeting they discussed bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation particularly in tourism economic and cultural fields.

Further Al Ketbi applauded UAE's progressive ties with Australia and with the state of West Australia and stressed the importance of furthering economic commercial and investment cooperation among companies in the UAE and West Australia.

The Governor of West Australia also said she was impressed with the rapid pace of development witnessed in the UAE and urged Emirati companies to invest in the agricultural and mining sectors in the state.

Earlier Al Ketbi met separately with Speaker of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly Michael William Sutherland Minister for Health and Child Protection Andrea Mitchell and Chief Justice Wayne Martin.
