Jordan- PM meets investors in energy sector


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman May 5 (Petra)--Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Thursday received businessman Tariq Al Abdullah and a delegation representing a group of international companies investing in the energy fields in a number of countries.

The delegation voiced interest to invest in the Kingdom's energy sector and support investment projects.

Members of the delegation also stressed their willingness to benefit from investment opportunities in Jordan as the Kingdom enjoys security and stability and has a strategic location.

Ensour said that Jordan has an attractive investment climate in light of the security and stability it enjoys adding that this reflected on the quality of investments in the Kingdom and provided all guarantees to investors in various sectors.

The prime minister also pointed to Jordan's strategic location in the Middle East and the possibility of benefitting from that to enter the markets of neighboring countries.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ibrahim Saif who also attended the meeting reviewed mega projects that will be implemented by Jordan especially the expansion of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery railways and the Red Sea-Dead Sea canal.
