(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman May 4 (Petra)-- Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Yousef Shawarbeh said His Majesty the King's wisdom in dealing with local and regional challenges contributed to promoting security and stability in Jordan.
The minister made the remarks as he received Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Pamela Goldsmith-Jones in the presence of Canadian ambassador to Jordan and Iraq Bruno Saccomani Shawarbeh said hosting the Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP) in the Kingdom constitutes a message to the world that Jordan is keen on promoting democracy moderation and women's empowerment.
It also embodies Jordan's role in promoting stability as well as peace in the region and the world the minister added.
Goldsmith-Jones expressed her country's keenness to support Jordan to enable it to play its role at the regional and domestic levels and provide the Kingdom with Canadian expertise particularly in the area of political reform and parties.
