Oman- 9655 visit Dhofar sites

Statistics released by the Department of Frankincense Land Sites at His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's Advisor for Cultural Affairs show that as many as 9655 people visited the Al Baleed and Samharam archaeological sites in April.

Al Baleed Archaeological Park and Museum of the Frankincense Land received 6263 Samharam Archaeological Site received 3146 Wadi Dokha received 111 and Wubar Archaeological Site received 135 visitors.

The Office of His Majesty the Sultan's Advisor for Cultural Affairs is developing several sites to support tourism in Dhofar. Al Baleed Archaeological Park Samharam Shasir Area and Wadi Dokha are registered sites on the Unesco World Heritage List under the category 'Land of Frankincense sites'.
