Dubai Police launch endowment for traffic awareness

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The general headquarters of the Dubai Police has announced the launch of an endowment in favour of community campaigns for traffic awareness.

The initiative follows interaction between the Dubai Police and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in which the centre provided police officials with an overview of endowment and community needs.

Based on this initiative the Dubai Police will receive the Dubai Endowment Sign from the MBRGCEC one of the key initiatives under the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives in recognition of their contribution to the community as a model for private and government sectors.

Major-General Khammis Mattar General Commander of Dubai Police said the police are keen to establish the directives of Shaikh Mohammed and therefore established the endowment. The revenue of the endowment will be used to support a traffic awareness campaign. He added that the police force is keen to play a social and humanitarian role in addition to its focus on maintaining the safety and security of Dubai's residents.

"The innovative endowment is one of the key initiatives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy and focuses on strengthening society through the contribution of government and private entities" said Dr Hamad Al Hammady Secretary-General of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy. "We believe the contribution of the community through innovative endowments is unlimited and government and private sector institutions can participate in the service of the community regardless of the size of their contribution."

The website www.MBRgcec.ae is ready to receive enquiries from all interested individuals and organisations wishing to obtain the Dubai Endowment Sign. The centre will also provide the necessary consulting to public and private institutions in promoting community contribution by the Dubai Endowment Sign which helps build a range of community services that address the most important needs of the community through the active participation of institutions.

The Dubai Endowment Sign was launched by Shaikh Mohammed as a key initiative of the Global Vision for Awqaf and Endowments and highlights community participation by providing an opportunity to government and private sector institutions to participate in community service through innovative endowments in favor of the development needs of the community.
