UAE- For your viewing pleasure: Sony's 4K HDR TVs

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Sony Middle East and Africa on Tuesday unveiled what it has dubbed as the "future of television" - its new range of Bravia TVs featuring 4K HDR technology.

The next phase after 4K televisions HDR - the popular term for High Dynamic Range - is the latest video signal format that can deliver a wider range of brightness and colour which would make movies and TV shows look more realistic. The HDR signal preserves the brightest and darkest spots on a picture which gets lost in today's standards.

Now Japanese giant Sony is giving the opportunity to UAE consumers to own what is the best in TV viewing experience.

"We are happy to introduce to the UAE the next era of television - Sony's Bravia 4K HDR TVs" Satoru Arai head of Sony Middle East and Africa said. "No other company can bring this kind of experience alive in consumers' homes."

Sony pointed out that the key to 4K HDR resides in 'Three Cs' - colour clarity and contrast. "These three are the core elements of picture quality that goes beyond 4K" Arai told Khaleej Times. "With that we realised making outstanding picture [quality] with our new Bravia TVs".

The new line-up also gives Sony the opportunity to grow even more in the TV market - "six times more compared to one year ago" according to Arai. "This is not just another bunch of new models - this is a technological breakthrough that Sony has introduced" Vishesh Bhatia chief executive officer of Jumbo Group told Khaleej Times.

"And by that I mean you get greater clarity colour and contrast in anything you see on these TVs."
