(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 153.04 points or -1.52% when the bourse closed trading at 9,939.03 points Tuesday.
The volume of shares was down to 8,965,527 from Monday 9,337,098 and the value of shares increased to QR317,934,001.83 from QR268,406,172.16 on Monday.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, shares of 42 saw trading today. From these 6 gained, 34 closed lower and two remained unchanged.
Among the top losers were Widam whose share down 6.73% to QR58.20, National Leasing whose share down 4.50% to QR18.04, Islamic Insurance lost 3.54% to QR60.00, Gulf warehousing Company fell 2.70% to QR61.20 and Doha Insurance decreased by 2.39% to QR20.
The Banking and Financial sector index was dropped -0.97% to 2,684.82 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index fell -1.75% 6,456.7 points. The industrial sector lost -1.40% to 3,067.46 points and Insurance sector decreased -0.20% to 4,316.67 points.
