(MENAFNEditorial) Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort hosted its first ever Danat Classic Golf Tournament at the Al Dhafra Golf Club, the only golf course in Al Gharbia, the western region of Abu Dhabi on Friday, April 15.
The tournament saw a total of 37 participants including 8 beginners at Al Dhafra Golf Links, a beautifully tended 9-hole, 5,754 yard par 72 sand course located along the coast with mesmerizing panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf.
It was a day of excitement and entertainment for all the participants. Great prizes were in store for the competition including round trip tickets to Sri Lanka, weekend stays at the resort and dinner vouchers. The tournament concluded with a beautiful award ceremony compared by Mr. Geert Saman, the captain of Al Dhafra Golf Club, which was followed by a barbecue dinner and live entertainment at the resort's outdoor dining venue showcasing beautiful views of the white sands and crystal clear sea.

The tournament was an intensely contested competition with Jacquin Jose winning the top prize. The 15 year old took everyone by surprise with a total of 43 points turning out to be the youngest winner of the golf championship in the history of Al Dhafra Golf Links. The second place was secured by Mr. Gusti Ngurah Bagus Suardana while the third spot was taken by Mr. Jose Chacko, the father of our young champion.
