Abu Dhabi ports post double-digit growth


(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi ports posted double-digit increase in two main cargo sectors amid the first quarter, while Khalifa Port jumped by 31 percent to 33,687 vehicles.

Additionally, general and bulk cargo grew by 13 percent to reach 3.98mn tons, compared to 3.5mn tons during the cited quarter of last year.

Moreover, the Khalifa Port Container Terminal recorded handling 5 percent more containers through the first three months compared with last year.

The country aims to invest in innovative technologies and solutions, whereas four firms, including Dubai-based KSB Service and Polysys Techs started operations.
