China's mobile-gaming market hits USD7.1b

(MENAFN) No country spends more on mobile games than China, but even Chinese companies are suffering with the fact that they're very eager to clinch a piece of that money.

According to the latest data, the world's 2nd largest economy has overtaken the US and Japan as the top country for spending on mobile games with USD7.1 billion in incomes.

Additionally, mobile gaming in China saw a 57pct y-o-y rise in spending, and for this year, Chinese mobile gamers will spend USD10bn before dropping USD13.9bn by 2019.

Most of this money goes to firms other than Apple and Google because Android is the dominant platform in China, but the Google Play story like all Google services does not work in the nation.
