DALLAS TX - 02 May 2016 - With Cinco de Mayo fast approaching On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® just finalized a deal to bring the world's leading authority on all things “Cinco” to their nationwide celebration. Senor Cinco – the first and only Official Spokes-Lime of Cinco de Mayo will be the exclusive partner of the largest casual Mexican restaurant brand worldwide.
“Cinco de Mayo is a holiday with my name written all over it' said Senor Cinco. “There are many places where I could fiesta but mis amigos at On The Border really know how to make a lime feel sublime.”
“Everyone wanted Senor Cinco” said Ashley Zickefoose Chief Marketing Officer with On The Border. “But he insisted he'd only go where the biggest fiesta would be for Cinco de Mayo. Fortunately his demands were few.” As part of his Spokes-Lime deal Senor Cinco hosts his very own talk show Squeeze In with Se n or Cinco . The show features his shot glass sidekick Mel T. Down and his guests will include all the stars of the On The Border Cinco 'Rita - Tequila Lime Wedge Triple Sec Salt and Ice.
“We're known for our famous margaritas and Mexican beers at incredible prices on Cinco de Mayo – but we wanted to go even bigger this year” said Zickefoose. On The Border will be offering their House Margaritas frozen or on the rocks for only $4 served in a souvenir 14-oz Cinco de Mayo cup. There will so be a variety of shots available for $2 $3 or $4 as well as Dos XX® and Corona Light® Draft or bottles for just $3. But that's not all the unofficial fiesta headquarters for Cinco de Mayo has planned. Numerous locations across the U.S. will also be hosting DJs and live local bands on their outdoor patio areas during the duration of the afternoon and evening.
“Trust me amigos the juiciest deal you'll find for Cinco de Mayo is the $4 Cinco 'Rita” said Senor Cinco. “So start watching me on Squeeze In With Se n or Cinco online and then make sure you're at On The Border on May 5th.”
Senor Cinco will be making appearances at On The Border locations across the country so be on the lookout for limes with mustaches. He will also be taking over On The Border's social handles on Cinco. To show him some love guests are encouraged to share their Cinco fiestas and lime mustaches by using the hashtags #SenorCinco #OnTheBorder #CincodeMayo.
