Qatar Condemns Calls for Imposing Israeli Law on Palestinian Territories

Doha 2nd May 2016 (WAM) - The State of Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the recent Israeli calls for the imposition of Israeli law to the Palestinian territories.

''The Israeli calls for imposing the Israeli laws on Palestinian territories jeopardize the international efforts to resume peace talks and undermine any chances for peaceful settlement based on the two-state solution stressing that these actions worsen tension in the region'' the Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by Qatar News Agency QNA.

The statement renewed Qatar's refusal to the Israeli measures which aim at the Judaization of the Palestinian territories.

The statement also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the ongoing Israeli violations and to oblige it to end the occupation and fully withdraw from Palestinian and Arab territories.
