Qatar- Turkish Kutnu fabric project to mark world premiere on May 10

DOHA: ‘Reflect Your Light with Kutnu’ a project organised under the patronage of Dr Sare Davutoglu wife of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will mark its world premiere in Qatar on May 10.

Emphasizing the importance of living peacefully and in unity with tolerance and global understanding the project is planned to be launched in many countries after Qatar in accordance with ‘Turkey-Discover the Potential’ motto.

Kutnu fabric is the embodiment of unique values of a powerful history. It conveys the marks of the Silk Road which is symbolically the road of peaceful unity and interaction of different cultures without racial religious lingual discrimination. Kutnu will be re-introduced to the world again with these missions undertaken.

Passing from Anatolian Seljuks to Ottomans Kutnu finds life on the looms of the respectable craftsmen of Gaziantep today. Kutnu is re-positioned as the fabric of all times with the exclusive collection created by award-winning Turkish fashion designer Rabia Yalçn. The collection can be seen as an intercultural bridge between the past and the future.

The show of the collection will be the debut of ‘Reflect Your Light with Kutnu’ Project being organised in collaboration with Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and with the support of the Turkish Embassy. Besides delegations from Turkey ministers diplomats members of society and business community journalists fashion influencers from Qatar and the region are expected to attend the premiere.The Peninsula
