UAE- ADEC receives International Excellence Certification in Procurement

ABU DHABI 2nd May 2016 (WAM) -- The Abu Dhabi Education Council ADEC has become the first government entity to receive an International Certificate on Procurement Platinum Level from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply CIPS in the UK in recognition of the excellent practices in procurement processes and strategic supply's.

This international certificate is granted to corporates and organisations that have been able to achieve the best international standards in procurement and supply chain approaches which happens after a series of comprehensive and thorough assessments are conducted by an independent team of auditors.

The certificate was received by Dr. Yousif Al Sheryani Acting Executive Director of Planning and Strategic Affairs Office on behalf of the Director-General of ADEC in the presence of Ms. Salama Al Amimi Executive Director of Organisational Development and Excellence and Acting Executive Director of Support Services at ADEC Khalifa Al Obaidly Procurement and Contracts Division Manager and Musallam Alameri Advisor to the Director-General's Office.

"We pride ourselves in being the first government entity in the UAE to obtain this certificate which reflects our commitment to applying the best international practices in procurement and supply. It is my pleasure to congratulate all staff of the division for their valuable efforts" said Ms. Al Amimi.
