Oman Photography Society wins 2 World Cups at FIAP Youth Print Biennial 2016

Oman Photography Society affiliated to the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science at the Diwan of Royal Court won two World Cups and six individual awards at the 38th FIAP Youth Print Biennial 2016.

The award was organised by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). The results of the competition were put up by FIAP on its website. The sultanate with 424 points won the World Cup in the under-16 category ahead of Germany which got the gold medal with 366 points followed by Russia which won the silver medal with 354 points.

The sultanate also won the under-21 World Cup with 473 points ahead of Italy which got the gold medal with 435 points followed by Germany the silver medalist with 373 points. The sultanate also won six individual awards. Walaa al Hudhailiya got the FIAP gold and Ahmed al Hadhrami got PSO Diploma in the under-16 category.

In the under-21 category Loai al Jabri won FIAP gold medal Shatha bint Sulaiman al Ghammariyah won FIAP silver medal Abdullah bin Said al Ruzaiqi won FIAP bronze medal and Reem bint Abdullah al Wahshi won the PSO Diploma.
