(MENAFN) International Monetary Fund (IMF) has promised support for Laos while calling for extra moves to reinforce the basis of future economic growth.
In accordance, Investments in education and social infrastructure were suggested in the Southeast Asian Republic, plus the implementation of fiscal reforms.
Moreover, the IMF also stressed that Laos must carry on with its efforts to accumulate global reserves and advances in the quality of statistics release.
"Key successes of the Lao economy include robust growth based on large public investments and deeper economic integration with near countries," said IMF's director.
