Oman- H E Mehrzi discusses investment options with Russian delegation

H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi Minister of Tourism received a delegation from the Russian-Oman Business Council recently.

The delegation headed by Ivan Menshikov was received in the presence of the Russian Ambassador to Oman and Ali Tabouk deputy chief executive officer of Duqm Free Trade Zone and a number of Ministry of Tourism officials stated a press release.

The two sides discussed various areas of investment and shared their expertise in the tourism sector. They also discussed unique investment opportunities in Oman given the country's strategic location and its natural historical and cultural heritage that attract tourist from all over the world. The head of the Russian delegation also expressed his desire in enhancing cooperation between the sultanate and Russia in all sectors particularly in tourism to mutually benefit both nations.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the efforts being taken by the sultanate in order to develop tourism. The minister also highlighted the Oman Tourism Strategy 2040 that is based on the principle of creating a responsible and sustainable tourism sector that will serve all other sectors within the country.

The two parties stressed on the importance of such meetings as it benefits both the countries by building closer relations.
