Middle East aims Arab tourists despite fall in visitor numbers

(MENAFN) Middle East nations are targeting Arabs, particularly from the Gulf, whereas many visitors remain cautious on visiting the region with war in Iraq and Syria.

Moreover, Egypt saw a 40 percent fall in visitors in the first quarter of 2016, while Jordan viewed a 23 percent drop in 2015.

In addition, Europeans and Americans visiting Jordan declined since the Arab Spring.

On the other hand, Jordan marketed itself as joined destinations where travelers from afar could also visit Lebanon and Syria.
