Hyundai to reestablish trade ties with Iran

(MENAFN) Hyundai, South Korea's number 1 carmaker is following up many global top corporations in terms of rebuilding business ties with Iran.

In Particular, both Hyundai and its affiliate KIA will resume exporting semi-knock-down and complete knock-down products to Iranian automobile companies.

According to the latest reports, the shipments will most likely start in May for the second quarter, but Hyundai had already continued selling cars in Iran last year.

Prior to the Iranian bans, Hyundai had sold nearly 20,000 units to Iran cars yearly, but it stopped its exports of cars and auto parts in 2012 due to the sanctions.
