S. Korea gets +1mn tons of oil from Iran over March


(MENAFN) South Korea imported 1,064,337 tons of Iranian oil through last month, or 269,020 barrels per day (bpd), nearly two times more than 557,174 tons brought in a year earlier.

The world's fifth largest oil importer brought 1,923,560 tons from the Islamic Republic over the past two months combined, as oppose to the corresponding timeframe of the previous year.

The figures prove clearly that relations between the two nations has considerably been recovered, hence S. Korea plans to boost imports oil, especially condensate, this year to meet rising demand.

All in all, the world's 4th largest economy imported 12.92 million tons of crude last month, or 3.26 million bpd, reflecting a 20 percent jump over the 10.74 million tons imported in 2015's March.
