KSCA Qatar celebrates Vishu


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) 'Amma' a skit based on the poem by late ONV Kurup

Doha: Doha expat members of Kerala Social and Cultural Association (KSCA) Qatar celebrated Vishu 2016 at ICC - Ashoka Hall on April 22. Members presented traditional and cultural programs highlighting the relevance of the harvest festival of Kerala.

Prominent percussionist from Kerala Pallavoor Shreedharan Marrar enlivened the evening with his master class performance of traditional Pancharimelam a classical percussion concert. Another main attraction was the skit presented in memory of the legendary poet late ONV Kurup based on his work "Amma". The well-directed skit was performed equally well by the KSCA members.

The chief guest for the event was Deputy Chief of Mission Embassy of India Raj Kumar. Meanwhile other dignitaries included Bhavans School Principal Balasubramaniam Doha Bank Corporate Head Krishnan ICC Vice President Seenu Pillai IBPN President KM Varughese. KSCA General Secretary Girish Nair President VA Gopinath and Chief Program Coordinator Anil Kumar R addressed the audience.
