Suicide bomb attack in Turkey's Bursa wounds 13


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) A woman suicide bomber detonatedherself on April 27 in theMarmara province of Bursawounding thirteen people accordingto officials. The attack occurred at around5.25 p.m. near the Ulu Cami amosque which is at the center ofthe province. “According to initialexaminations seven peoplewere wounded and transferredto nearby health institutions”The Bursa Governor’s Office hasstated. It also added that examinationsof the security forces on theattack were ongoing. Firefightersand health teams were deployedto the scene following the attackas shops nearby were damaged. Health Minister Mehmet Müezzinolu said that thirteen people were wounded in the attack and their condition was not critical. Turkey has faced consecutivesuicide bomb attack organizedby the Islamic State of Iraqand the Levant (ISIL) and theoutlawed Kurdistan Workers’Party (PKK) in recent months. Two suicide bombers detonatedthemselves on 10:04 a.m. onOct. 10 2015 in front of the Ankaramain train station wherethousands of people had gatheredfor a peace rally a fewweeks before the snap election on Nov. 1. This was the largestterror attack in Turkey’s history.ISIL hit Istanbul’s historic SultanahmetSquare on Jan. 12 touristicstiklal Avenue on March 19.
