UAE- Cosmos Group is ready for technological enterprise

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The UAE has for long remained the fulcrum for the region's economics and enterprise determining and defining the trends and techniques that would sustain and hold in the future for much of the world. During recent months the UAE consumer electronics sector has seen a surge in comprehensiveness and care. Not too long ago the consumer electronics and appliances manufacturers focused on single utility devices forcing consumers to buy 10 devices to perform as many functions. Today the market is dominated by the need for comprehensive utility devices so that a single device performs multiple functions.

Notes Arjan P. Chatani Manager- Marketing and Business Development ITL Cosmos Group "Today consumer technology (electronics) and appliances are the driving forces behind the global market. What was earlier considered as the economy and industry for domestic entertainment and household goods has today transformed into the leading force in manufacturing and marketing. In order to be marketed effectively products are often translated in terms of their usage - as consumer technology and appliances. To explain the world of applications today provides us with the possibility of such information as the speed at which a plane is flying to how fast it would take for a pizza to be delivered only to care for the needs of the consumer. These days the consumer understands his/her pivotal position in the economy and is harnessing it to his/her benefit."

The UAE has emerged as a major player in the global field of international retailers and this growth has been credited to the determined leadership of its foresighted leaders as well as the open competitive and fair market of the industry. "In fact as many in the industry know if a product marks success in the UAE it is considered a regional success. For anyone who intends to enter compete or sustain a position in the global retail space the UAE is a place to reckon with. With EXPO 2020 round the corner this market is only going to grow in its centrality and importance. It is a fact that UAE retail offers almost every major global brand" he continues.

Consumer electronics and home appliances form a major segment of the UAE - and world - economy. The UAE had much earlier recognised the potential of this market and left no stone unturned to harness and develop the space for such enterprises. "When the world chose to spend time with big machines and industrial equipment the UAE decided to build and nurture a credible space for consumer electronics and appliances. This has certainly contributed in a big way to the sustenance of the market here. This trend is here to stay and flourish. Complementing this trend I think would be two interrelated developments. The first would be the desire to connect which is quietly taking place and will totally influence all mature markets. I say quietly because I understand close to 75 per cent have not heard the term 'the Internet of Things'. The UAE is undoubtedly a frontrunner having romanced connectivity quite early on. And the second is the equally important imperative to preserve. The good news is this connectivity is expected to contribute significantly to reducing global waste and growth in global GDP" Chatani explains.

As a vehicle to deliver products efficiently to the channels of the market and service and support end-user requirement ITL Cosmos has stood tall for six decades having established way back in 1953. "We neither make products nor own brands but play a vital role in keeping our vendor partners abreast of the pulse of the market. The challenge we really face is to ensure that we partner and represent the right mix of vendor partners who are in sync with the market. Our vendor partners include Sharp One For All Remington Rhythm and Westfalia among others."

ITL Cosmos fully recognises respects and is committed to the need for adaptability and change without compromising its underlying business ethics among which customer care competitive zeal and fair enterprise are paramount. "We do not differentiate between our long-term and short-term plans. A major long-term objective of the group has been and is to contribute to the business potential and development of Dubai and the UAE while taking complete care of our customers. Each short term plan is a long-term objective for us. We not only follow strong market ethics and principles but also place them above or at least parallel to our concerns for profit. And this what makes our business a more credible venture" he concludes.
