UAE- Mansour bin Zayed writes to Algerian PM

ABU DHABI 27th April 2016 (WAM) - Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei Minister of Energy and Managing Director of the International Petroleum Investments Company (IPIC) met today in Algiers with Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.

During the meeting he delivered to the Algerian Prime Minister a letter from H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs dealing with bilateral cooperation.

During his official visit to Algeria Al Mazrouei also met with Minister of Energy Salah Khebri Minister of Industries and Mines Abdelsalam Bouchouareb and Deputy Minister of Defence Lt. General Ahmed Qayed Saleh.

The meetings discussed ways to boost the IPIC's current investments in Algeria as well bilateral cooperation and exchange of expertise particularly in the energy oil and gas and renewable energy fields.

The IPIC's fully owned CEPSA has been operating in Algeria for the past 29 years. Aabar also has a number of projects in Algeria including a car manufacturing plant.

IPIC was founded in 1984 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan the founder and father of the UAE to advance his vision of using Abu Dhabi's natural petroleum wealth to build a modern diversified economy for the benefit of future generations. Its portfolio includes 18 companies operating in exploration production refining marketing petrochemicals and power.

The company's board is chaired by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
