Egypt's ADSL subscriptions grows 4.1 percent


(MENAFN) The number of ADSL subscriptions increased by 4.1 percent in the last quarter of 2015, growing from 3.6 subscriptions in Q3 to 3.8mn in the last quarter.

Egyptian households, who use the internet reached 43.5 percent during the last quarter of 2015, while the number of households who have internet access stood at 39.2 Pct.

Accordingly, 98.4 percent of these households connect to the internet through ADSL in speeds equivalent to or higher than 256 kb/sec.

In addition, 20 percent of Egyptian households use the internet at least once a day, whereas 9.5 percent use it once a week and 2.6 percent use it less than once a week.
