Amman Jordan: Following a winter of heavy rainfall Jordan Motorsport has said that a monumental national effort has ensured the Kingdom is ready to host the Jordan Rally from May 5-7.

Last week the organisers unveiled a quality entry list which showed competitors from 12 nations led by multiple regional champion and 2015 Jordan winner Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah (pictured) of Qatar.

While the rain has been a welcome boost to Jordan’s scarce water supplies it has provided a huge challenge for Jordan Motorsport as many of the competitive stages have required substantial work to bring them up to the world-class standards.

Last night the finishing touches were made to the routes which also provide a vital link for the remote communities that are sprinkled along the route in the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley areas.

“We are indebted to the many partners that have pulled together in order to be ready for next week” said Othman Nassif CEO of Jordan Motorsport and Chairman of the Organisers. “The work carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Amman Municipality has been vital and it means we have stages as good as new that will provide a tough challenge to the region’s best drivers.”

On behalf of the organisers Nassif has also praised the support of the various safety and security services not to mention the private sector whose sponsorship provides the backbone to the event.

This support has been provided by Toyota Hyundai King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton Samarah Mall and Abdali where the event will get underway on May 5.

Media sponsorship is provided by Radio Hala Bliss 104.3 Pikasso Roya TV Jordan TV Mode Al Rai Ad Dustour Layali Amman and Venture magazine.
