Turkish PM on first visit to Qatar after assuming office

DOHA 26th April 2016 (WAM) -- Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Professor Ahmet Davutoglu in his first visit after assuming premiership is to visit the State of Qatar. The visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

According to the Qatar New Agency QNA Davutoglu praised the close Qatari-Turkish relationship. The visit is also an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance economic and investment relations between the two countries on the basis of a strong strategic partnership particularly in the field of defence industries that promote the independence and stability of the two countries.
