China's Guotai Junan records 2.4b in profits over 2015

(MENAFN) Guotai Junan Securities, one of China's top brokerages, logged an annual profit growth of 132.32pct y-o-y to nearly USD2.4 billion in 2015, based on recent reports.

Accordingly, the company's income increased 110.25pct to USD5.7 billion, whereas earnings per share stood at 2.21 Yuan, compared with 1.11 Yuan a year earlier.

The firm credited the profit jump mainly to higher commission fees, which grew more than 160 percent, not to mention its business wealth management also gained huge profits.

All in all, China's securities industry reported solid profit rises last year, when the stock market witnessed a dramatic roller-coaster ride, reflected by Shanghai's index ups and downs.
