Loubna Abidar s Book to Be Released on May 18

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Moroccan actress Loubna Abidar who starred in the controversial film Much Loved will release her first book entitled “Loubna La Dangerous” on May 18.

Abidar played the role of a prostitute in the controversial film Much Loved directed by Nabil Ayouch. Loubna's book is reportedly creating a hot debate on social media before its release.

According to Bladi the book is written in collaboration with Marion Van Renterghem a journalist from the French daily evening newspaper Le Monde.

The same source said that the book reviews the status of women in the Muslim world and radical Islam. It also traces the career of the actress from her childhood in Marrakech to her controversial role in the film “Much Loved” and the uproar it created.

'Loubna La Dangerous' also shed light on the aggressive attacks on the actress before she left Morocco for France where she said she 'lives like a princess.'

During her interview with the Petit Journal de Canal + Loubna Abidar explained that the book will highlight the position of women in Arab countries.

“It’s a book about my life about the controversy that has been created about radical Islam' the actress said adding that the book is in general a sum-up of 'all parts of my own story.'

The Moroccan actress has been living in France since last year following the assault she claimed to have suffered in Casablanca.
