Saudi- OIC to Hold an Emergency Meeting on Occupied Syrian Golan Heights

Jeddah Rajab 17 1437 April 24 2016 SPA -- The Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will convene an extraordinary meeting at the level of Permanent Representatives here on Tuesday April 26 2016 to discuss the Israeli escalation against the occupied Syrian Heights.
The Meeting will be held at the request of the State of Kuwait which holds the presidency of the current session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers to take a unified and strong position by the OIC Member States on the Israeli Government's meeting that was held in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and the remarks by Israel's Prime Minister that 'the Golan Heights will forever remain under Israeli sovereignty'.
The OIC considered these provoking acts by the Israeli Government a serious escalation and a flagrant violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy and international Law.
