Germany aims 1GW- capacity solar project in Oman
(MENAFN) Investors from Germany are planning to construct a mega solar power project with a capacity of one gigawatt; equivalent to 1,000 megawatt.
Accordingly, the investors are planning to build a one gigawatt solar power project in Duqm, while 8 firms have joined hands with the main promoter to develop the project.
In addition, the Germany-based investment trusts will offer the needed finance, technology, technically qualified professionals for local people.
Oman has many competitive advantages for developing the whole value chain in solar industry, mainly due to the availability of sunlight and sand.
