S. Korea's passenger car exports drop 12.4 percent


(MENAFN) S. Korea's traveler car exports declined by 12.4 percent in Q1 of this year due to contracted demand from oil-rich nations.

Furthermore, the whole value of exported cars touched USD 8.9bn in the cited quarter, fall from USD 10.2bn a year earlier.

Additionally, regional carmakers shipped out 653,000 cars in the three-month period, a 9.6 percent fall from the 722,000 last year.

Moreover, exports to KSA tumbled 53.8 percent to USD 419mn from USD 907mn and shipments to Russia declined 2 percent.
