Qatar- Earth Day marked

DOHA: Al Wakrah Municipality yesterday marked Earth Day in collaboration with Ezdan Company at Al Wakrah Family Park.

Students from schools participated in the event which featured entertainment and educational activities to enhance environmental awareness.

“As the annual celebration aims at raising environmental awareness our participation is part of our social responsibilities towards society to bolster its role in maintaining the earth and protecting the environment and natural resources” said Mansur Al Buainain Director of the municipality. “We are encouraging an increase of green areas at public facilities and homes and maintaining clean beaches.” Omer Al Yafie’e General Manager Ezdan Real Estate thanked the municipality for enabling the company to take part in the event adding that Ezdan Group is committed to the protection of the environment and conservation of natural resources.
